Evaluation and conversion of temple waste flowers into incense sticks in Tumakuru district of Karnataka, india

In any waste management process, the 3 R’s, i.e., Recycling, Reuse and Recover play a very important role. The present work focuses on collection, handling, usage of flowers. A large volume flower generated daily at Tumakuru is improperly disposed in open places or dust bins finally reaches landfill along with other municipal solid wastes. As part India’s Swachh Bharat programme, this paper gives an idea reducing quantity converting them into incense sticks. various types flowers were analysed compared based results obtained from physicochemical properties. SEM EDS used to determine surface morphology chemical compositions crushed flowers, respectively. From study, it can be seen that filament type, cave type stripelike textures observed surfaces analysis has shown rose powder rich amount carbon (66.98 %) yellow chrysanthemum contains less (37.68 Also, demonstrates practical aspects making sticks waste.
